Megiddo is a United Federation of Planets initiative based in the Gamma Quadrant. At its conception a civilian colony was founded on a M-Class planet in the Megiddo System. Following the founding of the colony, Starfleet constructed a space station to serve as a hub for a fleet of Federation starships to safeguard the colony and explore the sector. This effort alone was not without tribulation and hardship but such sacrifices were necessary to preserve the Colony's inhabitants and their way of life. However, not all of the consequences were grievous because in defending ourselves and the species who sought our aid, new alliances were forged and a trust was established between the Federation citizens and those species and we reaped the benefits of new discoveries and greater rewards.

Now, more than ever, we are called upon to defend that trust. We find ourselves on the edge of a precipice, facing an enemy the like of which we have never seen. They are hellbent on the annihilation of the Federation and the subjugation of her citizens. Their technology is superior and our survival is not assured. Cadets, we are at war. Megiddo is under siege and you have been called upon to aid in her defense. This new threat must not be allowed access to the wormhole, or they will be on the threshold of the Alpha Quadrant. These shadows must be overcome and the inhabitants of Megiddo Sector are depending on us, depending on you, to serve as a bulwark against this ever encroaching threat.

By special order of Starfleet Command, cadets who wish to join the Megiddo Fleet will receive immediate assignment and be sent to Deep Space Nine. The Federation space station on the edge of the wormhole serves as the Megiddo base of operations in exile, and as a receiving point for those refugees that managed to escape the initial invasion. From DS9 all cadets will be transported to their assignments in Megiddo Sector and complete their training in the Gamma Quadrant.
